Mapping the Caribou's Range (GIS)If your school has ArcView 3.x or higher, the following files can be downloaded, unzipped and used by students to study the Porcupine Caribou herd's area. All of these layers have been clipped to the extent of the Porcupine Caribou herd's range. All raster layers are projected to UTM zone 6 with a WGS84 or NAD83 datum. All shapefiles are unprojected with a NAD83 datum. Each layer has metadata associated with it in text, html and xml formats. You can download the whole set of files at once (first option) or download each individual map and its associated files separately. For further information, please review the metadate of each dataset and the readme.txt file. Complete set: (click on the link to download)
